This statement explains which cookies corone uses, what each one does, and how long it stays. It sits alongside the privacy policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to store and send back on the next request. It is how a site knows that the person loading this page is the same person who signed in a minute ago. Comparable techniques such as local storage fall under this statement too.
Your choice
Visitors who are not signed in get a cookie window in the bottom right corner, with two buttons: accept or reject. Both are one click. Turning cookies down should cost no more effort than accepting them. We ask again after six months, and sooner if this statement changes in a way that affects what gets stored.
Rejecting breaks nothing here. No part of corone depends on an optional cookie.
